From now on Ultimate Gray and Illuminating Yellow are crowned to reign in 2021.

The colour that is defined as being between green and orange has made it to 2021 together with grey, a colour intermediate between black and white.
The unity of these two colors is meant to show “a light at the end of the tunnel” after the hardships of 2020 the world experienced, kind of a yellow sunshine rising from grey ashes.

Colors are chosen to symbolize unity, stability and hope.
Leatrice Eiseman, a color specialist and the Executive Director of the Pantone, explains the selection of exactly these two colors, stating, “When the grey clouds disperse, we see the sunshine”.
