There’s something very direct about JHANGIRIAN. The silhouettes don’t try to charm you immediately, they just hold themselves with confidence and let you come closer on your own.
Armenian designer Narek Jhangiryan works a lot with structure, black, and strong, sculptural lines. But what stays with you is not just the visual sharpness. It’s the feeling underneath it - grounded, controlled, deeply connected to identity without turning heritage into costume.
The body is always central in his work. Sometimes exposed through lace or cut-outs, sometimes almost protected by the construction of the garment itself. There’s a tension between softness and discipline that feels very intentional.
What we particularly like is that nothing feels overloaded. The references are there, but quietly. You notice them in posture, proportion, the way fabric moves against the body. Even the dramatic moments feel restrained.
Each collection is produced in limited quantities, which makes sense for a brand built around precision rather than volume. Beyond the collections, Jhangiryan has also developed a recognizable visual language through costume work and collaborations with Armenian artists, including projects connected to Armenia’s Eurovision performances.
The result feels bold without needing excess. Clothes that don’t ask for attention loudly, but hold it anyway.
